Born in the city of Porto on a carnival night in 1973, Luis Leite assumes Grifu as alias, inspired by the mythological creature Gryphon that characterizes his own rich imagination and transdisciplinary way of thinking. His motivation is to facilitate the use of technology by creative people. Luís Leite is a Professor in the School of Media Arts and Design, the Director of the Multimedia Department and the Director of the Master degree in Interactive Media and Systems. Currently finishing the Digital Media doctoral program at UT Austin | Portugal (FEUP) with an FCT scholarship. His professional profile started as a computer programmer back in 1990 and gradually progressed to audiovisual and multimedia working in production studios such as Animago and Miragem. He has collaborated in the productions of TV Series, animated films, theatrical plays, interactive installations, and performances such as: “Ace London”; “Rita Catita”; “História de um Caramelo”; "Zé dos Pássaros”; “Prometeu"; “Peregrinação”; "Frágil".
